METAIRIE, La. — While it is a short list of absences for the New Orleans Saints on their second day of Week 13 practices, it is a concerning one for the team’s offense. For the second day, two important offensive linemen were not spotted during practice.

Attendance for the portion of Saints practice open to the media:

Not seen:

G/C Lucas Patrick

C Erik McCoy

Patrick has not practiced since Week 9, sidelined with an ankle injury. Assuming his absence during the open portion of Wednesday’s practice results in another “Did Not Participate” label the lineman’s tough trend will continue. Patrick started the season as one of the NFL’s best offensive linemen through the first pair of games. But since having to shift positions and dealing with injuries of his own, it’s been a roller coaster season for the free agent acquisition.

Interim head coach Darren Rizzi said on Tuesday that the team would have more information on McCoy’s recovery on Wednesday. That info will likely be released later in the afternoon with the injury report.

There were no signs of wide receiver Chris Olave nor running back Kendre Miller after both made appearances off to the side in Tuesday’s practice.

The Saints will take Thursday off for the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to practice on Friday.
