As the 2024 season draws to an end, players on practice squads are often given deals to return to the team the following season. The New Orleans Saints announced that they have signed the following players to reserve/future deals.
- Defensive End Ryder Anderson
- Safety Millard Bradford
- Quarterback Ben DiNucci
- Offensive Tackle Josiah Ezirim
- Defensive Back Tra Fluellen
- Tight End Michael Jacobson
- Kicker Charlie Smyth
- Running Back Xazavian Valladay
- Tight End Treyton Welch
Reserve/Future contracts are typically minimum-salary contracts that bind the player to the team over the off-season, guaranteeing the player a spot in off-season activities and training camp. These are names that fans can expect to hear about throughout OTAs, minicamps, and training camp.
Contracts are offered to players a team wants to continue developing from the previous season’s practice squad. Each player listed above demonstrated enough potential during the season to earn an opportunity to compete in next year’s camp.
