Saints WR Remains Absent From Practice Friday
09/06/2024
The New Orleans Saints were back Friday for their final practice ahead of this weekend’s game against the Carolina Panthers. The team returned the same group of players from Thursday, meaning that they should be in large part healthy going into the game.
Here is the list of players not seen during the portion of Friday’s practice that was open to the media:
WR A.T Perry
DT Khalen Saunders
LB D’Marco Jackson
LB Jaylan Ford
The biggest story here is that it seems unlikely now that Perry will be able to play this weekend. Downgrading midweek and then not being present for two days is typically not a great sign. It will be interesting to see if the Saints will roll with their five roster wideouts: Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Cedrick Wilson Jr., Bub Means, and Mason Tipton. Otherwise, they could elevate one of their practice squad wideouts.
Rookie tight end Dallin Holker was again observing practice but not participating, indicating that his NFL debut will have to wait at least another week. But with a healthy tight end room of Foster Moreau, Juwan Johnson and Taysom Hill, the team should stand up fine at the position.
The Saints will soon release an updated injury report that will include game designations. LouisianaSports.Net will have that information available for you quickly after.
