Politicians and the weight on my driver’s license photo may lie, but numbers never do. In this week’s SEC Numbers to Know ahead of the Week 11 slate, we have some incredible streaks, stats, and scary tendencies to dive into. So, let’s dive deep into the deep dive of the week.
18: It’s been 18 years since LSU has been favored over Alabama at home.
4: Total sacks allowed by LSU this season. To put that in perspective, last season Alabama’s offensive line allowed four or more sacks in six consecutive games. That was the most of any FBS team in the last 20 years.
49.1: LSU is converting 49.1 percent of their third downs this season which ranks first in the SEC and tenth in all of FBS. It’s also the third consecutive season that they’ve ranked in the top two in the SEC for that statistic.
6: Alabama has lost to LSU in Baton Rouge just six times in the last 67 years.
16-2: Dating back to his tenure at Notre Dame, Brian Kelly has a 16-2 record in games coming off extra week.
19: Total First Round Draft Picks from the 2019 LSU-Alabama game.

15: South Carolina has won 15 straight games against Vanderbilt.
4: During their 15-game winning streak over Vanderbilt, South Carolina has scored less that 20 points just four times, and Vanderbilt has scored over 20 points just four times as well.
6-0: Vanderbilt is 6-0 against the spread and 5-1 straight up in games where they’re an underdog this season.
1-5: Lane Kiffin is 1-5 against Top Ten teams in the regular season as the head coach at Ole Miss. Their lone win over a top ten team was against No. 7 Kentucky in 2022, who finished the season unranked with a 7-6 record.

4: SEC teams that rank in the top seven nationally in yards per play allowed (Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and South Carolina), including three in the top four.
