Circa Sportsbook in Las Vegas released their opening lines of the upcoming college football weekend. The matchups this week are almost a game for game inverse of what we expected to know, or see, this preseason.
Raise your hand if you thought the ranked matchup this weekend would’ve been Texas at Vanderbilt instead of Oklahoma at Ole Miss. Exactly.
Looking at the week nine betting lines in comparison to what some sportsbook originally opened them at this past spring and summer is crazy to see. Only one game stayed at the exact same odds and that is Texas A&M being a -3.5 point favorite at home over LSU.
Elsewhere, Alabama was originally an -8 point favorite against a Missouri team that many thought would be a staple in the Top 10 this year. That line is now at 13 points. Also, Ole Miss opened in April as a -5 point favorite over Oklahoma. After last week’s loss to South Carolina and subsequent firing of their offensive coordinator Seth Littrell, Oklahoma is now a +20 point underdog in Oxford this weekend.
Here’s a look at the rest of the Week 9 betting lines
Texas -17 at Vanderbilt
Arkansas -8 at Mississippi State
Kentucky -3 vs. Auburn
Texas A&M -3 vs. LSU
Ole Miss -20 vs. Oklahoma
Alabama -13 vs. Missouri
