Social Media Reacts: Army-Navy
By Chris Marler
Outside of the movie Marley and Me and that horrible song “Christmas shoes” there are few things that evoke as much emotion out of me as the Army-Navy game. It’s a beautiful blend of patriotism and sport, and it’s something truly bigger than the game.
Two sidelines full of men fighting for three hours on the field and fighting for a lifetime for our country shortly after.
The Army-Navy game brings out the best in everyone. The two academies met Saturday for the 125th time. Afterwards social media responded. Here were a few of our favorite tweets.
The Army/Navy game is the only football game in the world where every athlete on the field is willing to die for every citizen of this amazing country.

Today when the National Anthem plays at the Army / Navy game there will be no knees on the turf. The young Americans there know that this country is worth standing up for. 🇺🇸

I was fortunate to meet some of the most extraordinary men our nation has to offer while at today’s Army-Navy game.
There’s no higher award to recognize gallantry and intrepidity among our military members than the Medal of Honor. Thank you for your courageous sacrifices,… pic.twitter.com/j8fo674zUa

Navy beating Army is especially impressive since they played on land rather than water
