No. 7 Notre Dame beat No. 10 Indiana, 27-17, in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Two late touchdowns made the final score look respectable, but this was a butt-kicking.
With the win, the Fighting Irish advance to face Georgia on New Year’s Day in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Hindsight is 20/20, but that didn’t stop the hypotheticals from flying all over social media after the game on whether or not Indiana deserved to be in the playoff.
