Social media reacts to Florida’s overtime loss at Tennessee

By Chris Marler
Florida and Tennessee have played in some of the most memorable games in SEC history, and today’s, 23-17, Vol win in Knoxville was no different. This year’s edition had something for everyone from a blown two score lead, a game tying touchdown from a true freshman on third and 19 with :29 seconds left, and some questionable at best play calls from Billy Napier in the waning moments.
Keep in mind that Florida was a 15-point underdog to Tennessee on the road, and they lost their starting quarterback Graham Mertz after taking a 10-0 lead. Many fans thought Napier should’ve gone for a two-point conversion after the late touchdown from Lagway near the end of the fourth quarter. He did not, and ultimately they lost by six in overtime.
So, as most would expect, the immediate post game reactions on social media were calm, measured and rational.
Kidding. They were irrational and hilarious like always. Here were some of our favorite tweets from after the game.
I would like to say for the record that billy napier is a coward and this game should of been over one way or another already

I’m happy for Billy Napier.
I’m happy he went out on HIS terms.
– the most atrocious play calling
– the worst game management
– a crippling inability to count to 11

If Billy Napier coached against Tennessee every week, he would be considered the nation’s best coach
