Source: LSU RB Durham suffers toe injury

Baton Rouge, La. — LSU freshman running back Caden Durham dislocated two toes in the first half of Saturday’s win over South Alabama, multiple sources told LouisianaSports.net. He went to the locker room shortly before halftime and did not play in the second half.
Brian Kelly told reporters after the game that Durham suffered a foot injury and that it did not appear serious.
The injury appeared to happen on Durham’s eight yard touchdown run in the first quarter when offensive lineman Miles Frazier fell on Durham’s lower leg. He was visibly limping as he jogged to the sideline. It was Durham’s second touchdown of the night. He scored on a 71-yard catch-and-run on the first play of the game. LSU’s second offensive snap was an 86-yard run by Durham. He was tackled at the one yard line, and Garrett Nussmeier would sneak it in on the next play. Durham’s second touchdown put the Tigers ahead, 21-0.
Durham finished the game with 128 rushing yards on seven attempts and 89 receiving yards, catching all three targets.
LSU has an open date next week before the Tigers host Ole Miss on October 12.
