South Carolina’s Kyle Kennard declares for the NFL Draft

South Carolina defensive end Kyle Kennard is officially entering his name in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Kennard played one season for the Gamecocks and flourished. The transfer from Georgia Tech finished the season with 11.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. Both led the SEC and were sixth and 13th nationally.
Kennard is coming off a postseason where he was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year as well as the winner of the Bronco Nagurski Award which is awarded to the nation’s best defensive player. He is projected as a first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

There is no word yet on whether or not he will play in South Carolina’s bowl game against Illinois.
