Steve Spurrier Jr. joins Florida’s staff

Billy Napier added a new assistant with a very familiar last name in Gainesville on Wednesday morning. Steve Spurrier Jr. officially joined the staff at Florida for the 2025 season.
Spurrier Jr. is, of course, the son of College Football, SEC, and Florida Gator legend, Steve Spurrier. He’ll be filling the vacancy left by former special assistant to the head coach in 2024, Dan Enos. Enos is a journeyman in the college football coaching community, working at Alabama, Arkansas, and Miami since 2018. He left to become the quarterbacks coach at Wake Forest.
In addition to being the offensive coordinator at Tulsa he has also worked under Mike Leach at Mississippi State. Additionally, he’s made stops at South Carolina, Oklahoma, Washington State, Arizona, and the Washington Commanders.
