Stoops announces quarterback change for Kentucky
11/25/2024
Kentucky has made a change at quarterback for their final game of the regular season against in-state rival Louisville.
Head coach Mark Stoops announced at his Monday press conference that true freshman quarterback Cutter Bolley will start over junior Brock Vandagriff.
Kentucky has lost five of its last six games with the lone win coming against Murray State. Vandagriff has played in 11 games this season but ranks at or near the bottom in almost every passing statistic for SEC quarterbacks. The Georgia transfer, a former five-star recruit, completed 57.3 percent of his passes for 1593 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Bolley has only played in three games this season, completing 52.6 percent of his passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He was a three-star recruit from Lexington that was a part of Kentucky’s 2024 recruiting class.
