Texas A&M drops out of AP poll after loss to Texas

The week 15 AP Poll has been released, with a total of seven SEC teams finding a spot in this week’s top 25. Texas A&M dropped out of the top 25 after their home field loss to Texas. The SEC losing one of their ranked teams heading into championship week is not great for teams on the fringe of getting in the playoff.
Three of the top six teams in the country hail from the conference which is still very impressive. The three teams with the most still to gain despite the regular season being over are the teams log jammed between No. 11 and No. 15. With all the chaos and upsets that have happened over the last few weekends there is still an argument to be made for each of the teams in those spots in Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss.
We’ll find out more of what the committee thinks and whether or not it’s similar to the AP voters this coming Tuesday night when the playoff rankings are updated and released.
