Less than an hour after reports came that Rodney Terry was out as Texas men’s basketball head coach, reports of his replacement began to surface.

Xavier head coach Sean Miller is reportedly set to be hired as the Longhorns new coach. The news was first reported by Cedric Golden of the Austin American-Statesman and later confirmed by CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander

Miller has been a Division I head coach since 2004, with two stints at Xavier and a 12-season tenure at Arizona from 2009 to 2021. He brings to Austin a career record of 487-196, good for a .713 winning percentage. His teams have made trips to the NCAA Tournament 13 times in his 20 years as a head coach, including eight trips to the Sweet 16 and four trips to the Elite Eight.
