Texas mascot Bevo allowed at Cotton Bowl
By Chris Marler
Texas will be getting some added depth back for the Cotton Bowl against Ohio State. Not on the field, but rather on the sideline.
Bevo, Texas’ two thousand pound mascot, will be allowed on the sidelines for the College Football Playoff semifinal in Dallas. At the very least, the added support could provide some good luck.

Bevo was not allowed in Mercedes Benz Stadium for either trip the Longhorns made this season in the SEC Championship and Wednesday’s Peach Bowl against Arizona State. The Longhorns went 1-1 in those games and needed double-overtime to secure their victory over the Sun Devils after squandering a 16-point lead in the second half.
The Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal game will be played next Friday in Dallas with kickoff set for 6:30 CT.
