Quinn Ewers was injured in the first half of Texas’ game vs UTSA Saturday night which has led to arguably the most famous backup QB in SEC history coming in off the bench. Redshirt freshman Arch Manning replaced Ewers as the starting QB had to head straight to the medical tent in front of a silenced crowd in Austin.
Manning threw a TD on his first play to put the Longhorns up 21-0 and then followed that up with a 67 yard rushing TD in the next series.

There’s no word yet on how serious the injury is to Quinn Ewers, but this is the third consecutive season that he’s suffered some sort of injury during the regular season. Ewers is currently the frontrunner to win the Heisman Trophy and some think he may be the first pick selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
