Tiger trio named Player of the Week

Whit Weeks, Dominick McKinley and Aaron Anderson all nabbed Player of the Week honors, the SEC announced Monday.
McKinley was named the SEC Freshman of the Week. The Acadiana product and former five-star recruit tallied a pair of sacks and made four tackles in just 17 snaps Saturday night against Oklahoma. McKinley missed the first three games of the season recovering from injury but finished the regular season with seven tackles and three sacks.
Weeks racked up 17 tackles and a sack to lead LSU’s defense against the Sooners. He was honored as the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week. Weeks finished the regular season third in the conference in sacks.
Anderson returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to give LSU a 17-14 lead. He was named the Special Teams Player of the Week. The return was just LSU’s third for a touchdown in Tiger Stadium since 1981.
