LSU running back Trey Holly’s day in court will not come until December 18.
According to a report from KNOE-TV in Monroe, new evidence has been presented in the case surrounding a Union Parish shooting back in February. Two were injured in the incident, and Holly was arrested and charged with attempted murder, illegal use of a weapon and aggravated criminal damage to property. The attempted murder charged was eventually dropped.
One victim of the shooting, Keishia Cornett, was seriously injured and told KNOE Holly was responsible.
“I got shot twice in my back,” Cornett said. “I got grazed on the side of my chest, and it hit my lungs…I want him to get punished, because I don’t deserve this. I’m an innocent person. Thank God that I’m here and I’m still living.”
Holly’s legal team will have until that December 18 date to review the evidence submitted Wednesday.
