Georgia stayed hot on the recruiting trail as some news Kirby Smart and his staff were expecting finally became official. Four star wide receiver CJ Wiley from Alpharetta, Ga., committed to Georgia.

Wiley, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound senior from Milton High School, had been committed to Florida State since June 25th. However, after watching the Seminoles get off to a 1-8 start he decided to decommit on October 27th.

Georgia remained a player in Wiley’s recruiting the whole time, as they never stopped their full court press of courting him.

“I would say probably everyday or every other day. They really don’t try to change my mind. Coach Coley just says, ‘we need you. I wish we had you here,’ and all of that,” Wiley told Dawgs247 earlier this spring. “We’ve got a really good relationship with each other, so yeah, I think that’s the big thing.”

Wiley is the son of former LSU All-SEC defensive end Chuck Wiley who played seven NFL seasons.

Wiley is the fifth wide receiver in this year’s class, as Georgia has made it a focal point to get as many playmakers as they can in the 2025 cycle. Wiley becomes the 25th commitment for the Dawgs, which currently sits at No. 3 overall nationally in the 247Sports Team Composite Rankings.
