Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers to Return for 2025 Season

Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers announced early Thursday morning that he will return for the 2025 season.

Stowers finished second among SEC tight ends in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. This is the third stop for the redshirt senior, who transferred to Vanderbilt before last season after a year at New Mexico State and two years at Texas A&M.

Stowers’ first year in Nashville ended with him being named First Team All-SEC and a semifinalist for the Mackey Award, given to the nation’s best tight end.

Stowers was projected to be a mid-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. However, when speaking about his decision to return, he said, “We’re building something special” at Vanderbilt.
