Watch: QB Emile Picarella discusses recruitment, why he chose Tigers

After long time LSU commitment Bryce Underwood flipped to Michigan a week before the December signing period, the Tigers were left in a pickle. It was too late to add an elite 2025 prospect, so Brian Kelly had a numbers problem at the position. That issue was magnified with Rickie Collins and AJ Swann entered the Transfer Portal, leaving only Garrett Nussmeier and Colin Hurley at quarterback.
Emile Picarella was at one time a top-ten signal caller in the 2025 class. Though his recruitment slowed, he still held major Power Four offers, but ultimately decided to accept a preferred walk-on spot at LSU. In this interview with Matt Moscona on “After Further Review,” Picarella explains why he chose the PWO offer with the Tigers, his relationship with the coaching staff and his future as a Tiger.
