Week 12 AP Poll: South Carolina enters for first time

The week 12 AP Poll has been released, with nine SEC teams included in this week’s rankings. Four SEC teams were ranked in the top ten with Georgia being ranked right outside at No. 11.
Perhaps the biggest news from the SEC schools was South Carolina finally making their very long awaited, and very deserved, debut in the Top 25. The Gamecocks have won three straight games including back-to-back wins over ranked teams.
While there weren’t necessarily any surprises, perhaps the one oddity for traditional SEC fans, and fans of teams who hate the color orange, is that the two highest ranked teams were both “UT’s”, as Texas and Tennessee were ranked third and sixth respectively.
