It’s not how you start but how you finish. And, if there’s one thing we’ve come to learn in almost every college football season, it’s that finishing in the month of November is very difficult.
Looking at the numbers, the case can be made, as of today, that there aren’t many positives to playing a difficult schedule. Indiana has a strength of schedule ranked No. 100 in the country right now, and the Hoosiers have the second-best odds to get to the 12-team playoff at 96.1 percent. Penn State is right there with them.
There are three weeks left in the regular season for the SEC, and despite what we think we know right now, anything can still happen between now and selection Sunday. That rings especially true in a year like this year where chaos has reigned supreme.
