LSU’s football operations department continued its offseason shift on Thursday.
Jeff Martin, a New Orleans native and LSU alumnus, is joining the Tigers as Executive Director of Player Personnel, Shea Dixon of On3 reported.
Martin enrolled at LSU in 2002 and worked with the football program as recently as 2020 when he was an analyst who assisted in player development. The last four years at Southern California, Martin served as Director of Scouting and Player Relations.
The hiring of new Assistant General Manager Kelvin Bolden from Ole Miss and the luring of Martin away from USC clearly indicate LSU’s “front office” roster management team led by General Manager Austin Thomas is pushing forward in a new world of college football with revenue sharing and NIL guardrails.
Martin brings nearly two decades of familiarity with LSU and deep ties to the state’s most talent-rich area, New Orleans.
He holds three degrees from LSU including a bachelor’s degree in mass communication in 2009, a bachelor’s degree in sports administration in 2015 and a master’s degree in kinesiology.
