For the second time in as many days, LSU has poached a recruiting staffer from a national power.
Sam Petitto, an Amite native, is leaving Ohio State to become LSU’s Director of Scouting and Personnel Strategy, On3’s Shea Dixon reports.
Petitto has been at Ohio State since February 2024 working as Director of Player Personnel. Previously Petitto worked for Nick Saban at Alabama and Mark Richt at Georgia in the same role.
In the last week LSU has hired Kelvin Bolden from Ole Miss as Assistant General Manager, Jeff Martin from USC as Executive Director of Player Personnel and Petitto.
In the late 1990s, Petitto was a high school coach at three different Louisiana schools–Kentwood, Amite and Salmen. He’s a graduate of ULM.
