Brian Kelly expressed some optimism on Wednesday about the status of center Braelin Moore.
“I think we have him listed as probable.” Kelly said. “If not, maybe I’ll double check. Maybe he’s questionable. He did practice (Tuesday), and we expect him to practice (Wednesday).”
Moore injured his ankle Saturday and is working toward a hopeful return against Florida. LSU will release its first availability report Wednesday night.
Kelly also confirmed Tuesday’s news that defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell is no longer with the program.
“I can confirm that he’s no longer on the roster,” Kelly said. “We have standards that need to be met, and those standards weren’t met. Like any business or organization, you have workplace standards. Those standards weren’t met.”
Mitchell had not played a defensive snap for LSU this season.
