METAIRIE, La. – It wasn’t the news the New Orleans Saints likely wanted while getting out on the field for their fourth week of practice. Defensive end Chase Young remained absent during the open portion of practice as he continues to navigate his calf injury.
Additionally, quarterback Hunter Dekkers was added to Injured Reserve and was therefore not present.
Here are all of the players not seen during the open portion of Saints’ practice on Wednesday:
- WR Cedrick Wilson Jr.
- QB Hunter Dekkers (IR)
- OL Dillon Radunz (Back/Knee)
- DE Chase Young (Calf)
While Young may be on pace to miss his fourth game, offensive lineman Taliese Fuaga made his return to the field. The Saints could, for the first time this season, have all five of their starting offensive linemen going into their matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
Wide receiver Devaughn Vele was present for the stretch period but then did not participate in individual drills. He missed last week’s game with a hip injury, which he sustained during the practice week last week. Wideout Trey Palmer was back and participating after managing a hamstring injury last week.
Receiver Kevin Austin Jr. was back on the field after being waived from the active roster earlier this week. The assumption is that he and Dekkers are corresponding moves.
