The open date helps healing.
LSU is hoping for good news on linebacker Whit Weeks and offensive lineman Carius Curne as the week moves on. Both are considered “questionable” according to interim head coach Frank Wilson as the Tigers prepare for Alabama.
Weeks has not played in LSU’s last two games because of a bone bruise on his lower leg. Curne left LSU’s loss to Texas A&M with a leg injury in the fourth quarter.
“(Curne) was here (Sunday) for the scouting report and the walk through of Alabama,” Wilson said. “He participated in it. We’re hopeful. We’re taking it day-by-day.”
Curne was playing left tackle in the place of injured started Tyree Adams who suffered a high ankle sprain at Vanderbilt. Adams will not play Saturday.
“Whit would be questionable, as well,” Wilson said. “We’ll get (Weeks) out there (Tuesday) to see what he can do and kind of measure. And we’ll build it as the week goes on depending on his pain tolerance.”
