LSU had their rare morning game which means Tiger fans were able to watch the night time slate without distraction. But, if not, here’s everything you may have missed.

Ahmad Hardy goes off against Mississippi State

Ahmad Hardy was a 1,400 yard rusher last season at Louisiana Monroe. He was considered a prize in the portal and had some early season Heisman Trophy buzz. But three straight games under 100 yards erased that momentum.

Saturday he bounced back in a big way. Missouri started their third string, true freshman QB Matt Zollers, and Hardy carried the load. He finished Saturday’s game with 25 carries, 300 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Tigers to a 49-27 win against a good Mississippi State team.

Missouri improved to 7-3, keeping its bid for a third straight 10-win season alive, though it remains a long shot with a trip to Oklahoma looming next week. For Hardy, he now leads the SEC in rushing by over 200 yards and is looking to become the third Missouri back to win the conference rushing title in the last five years.

Florida squanders away chance against Ole Miss

Florida looked to ruin Ole Miss’ playoff chances for a second straight season on Saturday. They traveled to Oxford as two touchdown underdogs, but found themselves leading in the fourth quarter. The Gators stifled Ole Miss’ offense for most of the night, giving up a lot of yards but putting the clamps down on third down. They forced the Rebels into seven fourth down attempts.

In the end, it wasn’t enough. Ole Miss outscored the Gators 14-0 in the second half with all 14 points coming in the fourth quarter. They also got bailed out by SEC refs with one of the worst non-calls of the season, picking up a pass interference flag on the Gators final drive that ended inside their own ten yard line.

Ole Miss moved to 10-1 on the season, and now holds an 89% chance to make the College Football Playoff according to ESPN FPI.
