The New Orleans Saints received some good news on Thursday with the return of an important piece to their offensive operation.
Here is the information from Thursday’s injury report.
New Orleans Saints
Did Not Participate
WR Brandin Cooks (NIR-personal) – was released Wednesday.
DT Davon Godchaux (NIR-rest)
Limited Participation
T Taliese Fuaga (ankle)
RB Alvin Kamara (ankle)
Full Participation
WR Chris Olave (ankle)
TE Jack Stoll (ankle)
T Barry Wesley (hip)
The biggest story for New Orleans is the return of Fuaga to practice. He missed the Week 10 win against the Carolina Panthers with an ankle injury that he sustained against the Los Angeles Rams the week prior. His return to the lineup would be massively beneficial for New Orleans considering the success of the Falcons’ pass rush this season.
Godchaux continues his usual Thursday third-down day rest schedule and Cooks remains listed, though he has already been released by the team.
Atlanta Falcons
Did Not Participate
DT Zach Harrison (knee)
WR Drake London (knee)
LB Josh Woods (hamstring)
Limited Participation
G Chris Lindstrom (foot)
G Matthew Bergeron (ankle)
LB Leonard Floyd (hamstring)
Full Participation
S Xavier Watts (illness)
CB Dee Alford (concussion)
CB Mike Hughes (neck)
LB Divine Deablo (forearm)
LB Malik Verdon (shoulder)
DT Brandon Dorlus (oblique)
London remains out of practice for the Falcons but Deablo, a key piece on defense, is now practicing in full. That’s good news for the Atlanta defense.
Several other players that were listed with rest on Wednesday now carry no designation, meaning they are back at practice. Meanwhile, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has been placed on Injured Reserve.
With London out for two days, it appears that the expectation of his absence for Sunday’s game is coming to fruition. However, there is one more day to go before game designations are assigned. His name, along with Deablo’s will be important ones to watch as the week comes to a close.
