METAIRIE, La. – Late-season injuries could completely reshape the complexion of the New Orleans Saints (2-9) and Miami Dolphins (4-7) Week 13 matchup.
New Orleans Saints
Did Not Participate
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle)
Limited Participation
- T Taliese Fuaga (ankle)
- RB Devin Neal (ankle)
- WR Chris Olave (back)
Olave’s back injury appeared to take place during Wednesday’s practice, as he exited during the portion of the workday that was open to the media. Head coach Kellen Moore was asked after practice whether or not the wideout returned later in the practice day, but did not elaborate. His status will be an important factor to watch throughout the upcoming practices, as the Saints’ offense is already expected to be short-handed with a knee injury potentially keeping Kamara out against the Dolphins.
Many eyes will be on Fuaga for his potential return, as the Saints offensive line struggles have piled up with availability limitations throughout the year.
Miami Dolphins
Limited Participation
- OL Aaron Brewer (foot/ankle)
- LB Bradley Chubb (foot)
- CB Rasul Douglas (foot/ankle)
- OL Austin Jackson (toe)
- DT Benito Jones (ankle)
- WR Jaylen Waddle (foot)
- TE Darren Waller (pectoral)
Full Participation
- WR Dee Eskridge (shoulder)
- LB Matthew Judon (knee)
- S Ifeatu Melifonwu (thumb)
The most notable situations to watch in Miami will be that of Waddle over the course of the week and Waller, who returned to practice as he begins to work his way back from Injured Reserve. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll be ready to go this weekend, but his progress will be one to track throughout the year.
