Former LSU running back Josh Williams was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday.
The rookie made the team out of training camp and played in three games before he was suspended on Nov. 11 for violating the league’s Performance-Enhancing Substance Policy. That cost him six games.
Williams was eligible for reinstatement on December 22.
The former Tiger has overcome being a walk on at LSU and going undrafted. He’ll have to beat significant odds to return to the NFL following the suspension.
