LSU’s search for a quarterback has gone farther west. USC five-star freshman Husan Longstreet is visiting LSU Saturday, multiple sources confirm.

Longstreet entered the transfer portal Friday after one season in Los Angeles. He attempted only 15 passes, throwing for 103 yards and a score. He also accounted for two rushing touchdowns.

As a recruit, Longstreet was the No. 21 overall player and the fourth-best quarterback in the country coming out of Corona (Calif.) Centennial. Charlie Weis, Jr. and Lane Kiffin recruited Longstreet to Ole Miss before losing out on him to the Trojans.

LSU currently has no scholarship quarterbacks on the roster. Garrett Nussmeier is out of eligibility, and Colin Hurley and Ju’Juan Johnson have entered the transfer portal.

Kiffin has hosted Brendan Sorsby and Sam Leavitt in the past week. Sorsby signed with Texas Tech while Leavitt remains uncommitted. Kiffin made an unexpected trip Friday to Knoxville to meet with Leavitt following the quarterback’s visit to Tennessee and before he left to visit Miami.

The Tigers have also hosted Elon quarterback Landen Clark and JUCO prospect Tre Guerra.
