As the rumors continue to swirl around the potential return of retired New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr, Bookies.com has shared their hypothetical odds for where he will land next.
With New Orleans off of the table thanks to an impressive rookie year by signal caller Tyler Shough, any team looking to land the veteran passer will have to ship out some draft capital to seal the deal.
Carr has already established his two requirements for coming back to a team: he needs to be healthy and wants to join a team that gives him a chance at a Super Bowl run. Most teams looking for a quarterback at this point in the offseason don’t provide such an opportunity, but those that do sit atop the list of teams he could join should he decide to unretire at all.
Derek Carr Next Team Odds
Remain Retired / No NFL Team | +140 (41.7%)
Pittsburgh Steelers | +450 (18.2%)
Minnesota Vikings | +550 (15.4%)
Miami Dolphins | +650 (13.3%)
New York Jets | +1500 (6.3%)
New Orleans Saints | +2000 (4.8%)
Cincinnati Bengals | +4500 (2.2%)
Las Vegas Raiders | +5000 (2.0%)
The Minnesota Vikings have been on the rise as a potential destination. Carr’s new requirements could point him toward working with head coach Kevin O’Connell, who helped to revive quarterback Sam Darnold’s career.
