Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson‘s injury history will very much be under a microscope throughout this week’s NFL Scouting Combine. It took just one day for the first big story around the popular New Orleans Saints target to break.
Per The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, Tyson will not participate in on-field drills and workouts while in Indianapolis. Instead, he will focus on his continued recovery from a hamstring injury that cost him three games in 2025.
It’s not entirely surprising. There’s very little reason for Tyson to push to participate in the Combine if he is still recovering. His long recovery, however, might raise some eyebrows.
The most important element of Tyson’s Combine attendance will be his health. Teams will hold both medical checks and interviews during the week, allowing clubs like the Saints to get their questions answered about his recovery and injury history.
Although Tyson won’t run, jump or catch at the showcase, he will get his chance to answer teams’ biggest questions throughout the week. Those answers, along with top-30 visits later in the process, will more than certainly impact the Saints decision at No. 8 overall.
