Late last week, FanDuel released their initial win totals for SEC Football teams this season. We wrote about it Saturday giving our three best plays of the season. I highly doubt that the folks at FanDuel read the article. Nevertheless, two of the three totals we said to go over on have increased immediately less than a week later.
Four teams in the conference saw their total change from the initial numbers released. That includes South Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee. Of those four teams, just one saw their number decrease and that was Kentucky from 5.5 to 4.5 wins.
Win Totals that moved
South Carolina – 5.5 to 6.5 wins (+118)
Kentucky – 5.5 to 4.5 Wins (-140)
Florida – 6.5 to 7.5 wins (+116)
Tennessee – 6.5 to 7.5 (+104)
Updated SEC Win Totals
Alabama – 8.5 Wins
Arkansas – 4.5 Wins
Auburn – 6.5 Wins
Florida – 7.5 Wins
Georgia – 9.5 Wins
Kentucky – 4.5 Wins
LSU – 8.5 Wins
Mississippi State – 4.5 Wins
Missouri – 6.5 Wins
Oklahoma – 7.5 Wins
Ole Miss – 7.5 Wins
South Carolina – 6.5 Wins
Tennessee – 7.5 Wins
Texas – 9.5 Wins
Texas A&M – 8.5 Wins
Vanderbilt – 6.5 Wins
Takeaways
Only six teams out of the 16 in the league currently have plus odds to cover their win total – Arkansas (+120), Florida (+116), South Carolina (+118), Tennessee (+104), Texas (+106), and Vanderbilt (+138). That includes all three teams who saw an increase in their win totals.
Of the teams that have the best odds to cover their totals, Missouri, Ole Miss, Georgia, LSU and Alabama appear to be most likely to go over. Missouri is -150 to cover their 6.5 wins, LSU is -148 to cover 8.5 wins, Ole Miss is -148 to cover 7.5 wins, Georgia is -138 to cover 9.5 wins, and Alabama is -130 to go over 8.5 wins.
