Kelvin Sampson has built one of the premier programs in the country. The Cougars have won 30-plus games a remarkable five season in a row. They have been a one or two seed in the last four NCAA Tournaments and made the national final two seasons ago.
Wade put Houston on the schedule his first time in Baton Rouge. The Cougars won that 2018 matchup, 82-76, in the Fertitta Center on campus. This time it will be at the home of the Rockets. Wade prefers to play in a larger arena annually to prepare his team for NCAA tournament play in bigger venues.
