LSU adds big lefty bat Bino Watters from ND

Notre Dame Athletics

In a back-and-forth battle with the Longhorns and Aggies, LSU won out and landed Bino Watters from Notre Dame.

Watters is among the top bats in the transfer portal and fills two needs on the roster. He plays the outfield and hits left-handed. LSU needs both.

As a sophomore in 2026, the lefty slugger hit .362 with 10 home runs for the Irish and earned First Team All-ACC honors. He only struck out 37 times in 53 games and has only fanned 63 times in 455 at bats over two seasons in South Bend.

Watters has played left and right field for the Irish. He’s 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. The Tiger lineup returns some offensive thump from the right side in Cade Arrambide and Omar Serna. Watters bring that from the other side of the plate.

LSU has now added three big impact transfers in Landon Hood (RHP, Gonzaga), Dawson Park (SS, Texas State and Watters.
