It’s a Father’s Day flip.
LSU lured in former Houston commitment Gary Burney Jr. on Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide out chose the Tigers over the Cougars to become the 14th member of the recruiting class.
Burney plays at Parkway High School in Bossier City where LSU landed national title standout Terrace Marshall in the Class of 2018. He’s a consensus three-star recruit ranked as the No. 21 player in Louisiana according to 247Sports.
LSU hosted the lanky wide out for camp earlier in June, and his performance there was enough for LSU to put on the full-court press. Burney joins Cade Cooper as the true wide outs in the class. Cecelia athlete Braylon Calais could also be a pass catcher.
