Jack Pyburn’s professional career will continue.

The former LSU Tiger, who has been named as one of the plaintiffs in the temporary restraining order against the NCAA and SEC, was claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. Tampa Bay waived him Sunday after he led the NFL in preseason sacks with four.

Pyburn expressed interest in returning to LSU for a fifth college season should he be left off an NFL roster.

LSU must turn in its final roster for the season Friday afternoon. On Thursday, a hearing will be held in Baton Rouge as Pyburn and more than 30 others seek a preliminary injunction allowing them to play this season.
