METAIRIE – Attendance held steady for the New Orleans Saints in the team’s second practice of the Week 1, carrying both good and bad news for the team.
The Saints’ running back unit is much healthier than it was during last week with Travis Etienne Jr., Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller now all participating for a second consecutive day.
However, running back Audric Estime remained absent with a thigh injury despite participating during media availability. There were a number of indications that he’s trending in the right direction, though. Perhaps while it may not be a serious or long-term injury, his Week 1 status could still be in jeopardy.
Here is list of players not seen during Wednesday’s practice:
- TE Oscar Delp (hamstring)
- RB Audric Estime (thigh)
- DL Davon Godchaux
- EDGE Cameron Jordan (hamstring)
- WR Cedric Tillman
- WR Trey Palmer
Godchaux’s absence continues his trend of having rest days on Thursday, which align with the team’s third-down practice day.
Otherwise, the Saints’ health is favorable heading into their matchup with the Detroit Lions to open the 2026 NFL Season.
