METAIRIE – The New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions released their final injury report of the week ahead of their season-opening matchup. The Saints have ruled out three players while the Lions have one questionable defender.
New Orleans Saints
Out
- TE Oscar Delp (hamstring)
- RB Audric Estime (thigh)
- EDGE Cameron Jordan (hamstring)

- RB Alvin Kamara (knee)

With Delp and Estime out, it’s reasonable to expect some reconfiguration of the team’s skill position players via game day elevation and additional roster moves.
Carrying only two healthy and active tight ends, and two running backs, would be a risky move for New Orleans, especially while only presently dressing out four wide receivers on the active roster.
If Kamara is cleared to play, three running backs is manageable, but potential adjustments at wide receiver and tight end may appear likely.
Meanwhile, the Saints still have a host of edge rushers to help manage the absence for Jordan, who will miss only his second career game and third overall because of an injury. There will likely be contributions from the second level as well with Kaden Elliss and Chris Rumph II both having pass rushing experience.

Overall the Lions will be healthy relative to their active roster, but the biggest losses for the team were already accounted for with safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph and starting center Cade Mays all out for this matchup.
