LSU’s first injury report is a stunner.
Quarterback Sam Leavitt is listed as “doubtful” as of Wednesday night. According to the league regulation, a “doubtful” designation means a player has a 25% chance to play or is unlikely to participate. Leavitt was not visibly injured in the game against Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.
Linebackers TJ Dottery and Tylen Singleton have been listed as “questionable”.
Both No. 7s, tight end Trey’Dez Green and linebacker Whit Weeks have been listed as “probable” along with linebacker Davhon Keys and starting right guard Aliou Bah.
With Dottery, Weeks, Keys and Singleton on the report, all of LSU’s linebacker experience is in question entering the game.
Reserves, Phillip Wright III, Jaiden Braker and Raycine Guillory are listed as “out”.
That said, by far the biggest news is Leavitt’s availablity or lack thereof.
Elon transfer Landen Clark has been the second quarterback in for LSU. He’s 7-for-10 for 109 yards and a touchdown for LSU in mop up duty through two weeks. He started 11 games for Elon a season ago.
