Jordyn Tyson’s return ‘not far away’

New Orleans Saints

Another update brings hope for the New Orleans Saints to finally debut their exciting first-round pick, wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.

Though heavily hedged, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Tyson could make his debut as early as Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns.

That timeline is consistent with recent reports suggesting a similar return date was possible. In the previous reports, Week 7’s game in Paris, France was the earliest expected return. However, a return to the field against Cleveland was considered the most likely scenario.

While the Browns game now appears to be a target date for the dynamic wideout, the update comes with the possibility that the timeline for his regular season debut could extend beyond.

But it does appear to suggest that, in the least, his return to practice should take place after this weekend’s bye.

Tyson, the No. 8 overall selection, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered during the team’s training camp joint practice against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 13.

Initial timetables for his return timeline were at two months, which the team swept past without getting him back on the field.

Anxiety for fans has been growing with Tyson sidelined, which has been a lengthy one, but now it appears the receiver could be adding his talents to the Saints’ offense in the coming weeks.
