Cam Carter will play in the NBA Summer League for the San Antonio Spurs.
DraftExpress’s Jon Chepkevich reported the news on Friday following the NBA Draft.
LSU was the third and final college stop for Carter, and he saved his best season for his last. The Donaldsonville native averaged 16.4 points per game while shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point territory. That number rose nearly 10 percent rom his junior season at Kansas State.
Carter, a 6-foot-3 guard, will participate in Summer League from July 5 to July 20 in Las Vegas. He could make the Spurs training camp or be offered a two-way deal where he could potentially split time between the NBA roster and the G-League roster.
Should Carter fail to make Spurs’ training camp, another team could offer him a spot based on his performance in July.
