After he and the New Orleans Saints parted ways at this year’s roster cuts, there was an expectation that 2023 second-round defensive end Isaiah Foskey would receive some interest from around the league. The 6-foot-5, 264 pound speed rusher didn’t attract much attention at first, but that has quickly changed.
Per Mark Zenitz of CBS Sports, Foskey is expected to visit with both the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles over the next few weeks.
Former Saints head coach Dennis Allen, who drafted Foskey as a part of his second draft class in New Orleans, is now the defensive coordinator in Chicago. They were together with the Saints for two years.
The Eagles landed former Saints linebacker Zack Baun last year and turned him into an All-Pro and Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Doing so again with Foskey would just add insult to injury.
The Saints did not offer Foskey a practice squad spot to make his return to the roster and Foskey is now starting to garner some interest from other clubs.
