Brees joins former NFLers Tom Brady and Greg Olsen as the network’s feature trio on NFL Sundays.
The former Saints passer said before that he would be open to returning to the broadcast booth, and now he gets his shot.
“I love broadcast because there’s an insight that comes with playing the position, the quarterback position, for 20 years that you have that nobody else has,” he told CNBC during a Super Bowl radio row interview. “I feel like we’re extremely well-equipped to be able to talk about, and communicate, exactly what’s happened on the field and why. So look, I would, with the right opportunity, I’d love to.”
It looks like the right opportunity, to the sure delight of Saints fans, has arrived.
