After missing the team’s Week 10 matchup with the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints starting right tackle Taliese Fuaga was back in the practice field on Thursday.
The only player not seen by local media present during the open portion of Thursday’s practice was defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, who has consistently had rest days on Thursdays.
That means a fully healthy slate of available players were in attendance as the Saints near their Week 12 divisional tilt against the Falcons.
Fuaga’s progress is promising as he works his way back from a high ankle injury. The additional time to recover during the bye week likely played a large role. With the Falcons currently ranked No. 2 in the NFL with 34 sacks in the season, having Fuaga back in the starting lineup would be a major boost for the Saints’ offense.
While he did return to the field on Thursday, Fuaga’s Friday participation will be the most important to watch. If he can’t go, it will likely be offensive lineman Asim Richards again manning his spot.
