LSU’s best cornerback didn’t start on Saturday night.
Mansoor Delane is dressed an available for LSU against Western Kentucky, but he did not start the game. He’s dealing with an abdominal injury that could sideline him for Saturday night’s game with Western Kentucky. Delane ranks second in the SEC and is a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award for the nation’s best defensive back.
He was honored prior to the game as one of the Tiger seniors.
Western Kentucky enters Saturday night’s game 11th in the country in passing offense and eighth in passing attempts.
Freshman DJ Pickett and sophomore PJ Woodland started at the cornerback spots.
