LSU’s offensive line is feeling the effects of a long season.
Center Braelin Moore and tackle Ory Williams both left Saturday night’s win over Western Kentucky. Neither is likely to play this week at Oklahoma according to Interim Head Coach Frank Wilson.
Moore injured his foot in the first quarter. Williams suffered an ankle injury and was in a walking boot during the second half.
Left tackle Tyree Adams has missed over a month after spraining his ankle. He had tight rope surgery to repair the injury and is doubtful for Saturday according to Wilson who said LSU’s bowl game might be a more realistic return target.
The most likely starting offensive line for LSU against the nasty Sooner front will be Carius Curne, Coen Echols, DJ Chester, Josh Thompson and Weston Davis.
The other injury updates were a little more optimistic.
Whit Weeks played in the first half on Saturday and could see an increased workload at Oklahoma. Caden Durham injured his neck in a collision on Saturday night but should progress through the week to play. Wilson said he was “hopeful” Mansoor Delane and Aaron Anderson could play.
Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier feels like a long shot to play.
“We’ll give him a go at it and see how he feels,” Wilson said. “I’ll probably give you a better answer to that when I come in here on Wednesday.”
